From thousands of songs, hundreds of albums and music videos released from June 15, 2011 to June 14, 2012, the judging committee has nominated five songs each in 20 categories for the 14th Annual Image Awards.[break]
The winners are to be declared through technical votes from judges and SMS voting from the public.
The Image Public Choice Awards will also be given to the artist who receives the maximum number of votes within the categories of Best Vocal Performance (Male), Best Vocal Performance (Female), Best Vocal Performance Pop (Male), and Best Vocal Performance Pop (Female).
The Dohori (folk) category has also been added to the list from this year.
Judges’ voting will not be included in the public choice categories, stated the Awards press release.
Director and lyricist Yadav Kharel is set to receive the Image Life Time Achievement Award this year.
