KATHMANDU, Nov 4: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has said it will provide fuel for rescue flights following Friday night’s earthquake in Jajarkot district free of cost.
Manoj Kumar Thakur, spokesperson for the NOC, said the corporation will bear the cost of petroleum products being used for rescue operations by airplanes and helicopters. According to him, the state-owned oil monopoly will consider the cost incurred in the rescue operation under its corporate social responsibility for the fiscal year 2023/24.

The earthquake of magnitude 6.4 hit Jajarkot district at 11:47 PM on Friday night with its epicenter located at Ramidanda, killing more than 150 people and leaving an equal number of people injured.
