KATHMANDU, July 15: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has once again hiked the prices of petroleum products. Effective from Monday midnight, the price of petrol will rise by Rs 4 per liter and diesel by Rs 3 per liter.
According to the NOC, the price hike is due to an increase in the price list sent by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC)-- the sole supplier to the NOC. The IOC has sent revised prices of petroleum products, with petrol prices going up by Rs 4.48 per liter and diesel by Rs 2.83 per liter.
IOC sends increased price list of petroleum products
Following the price increase, the cost of petrol per liter in Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhganj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj will be Rs 168.50 per liter, while diesel will be priced at Rs 157.50 per liter.
In Surkhet and Dang, petrol will be priced at Rs 170 per liter, and diesel at Rs 159 per liter.
In the third category, which includes Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal, the price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 171 per liter and that of diesel at Rs 160 per litre.
