Refuting allegations that his party is anti-federalist, Nepal said, “Our party was never anti-federalist. We clearly mentioned the term ‘federalism’ in our party’s major documents in 2007. Recently some parties are projecting themselves as federalists by portraying the UML as anti-federalist. The fact is that they are following the path of UML on federal issues,” Nepal said.
UML leader Nepal said that his party was always firm on its decisions. “There are some charges that UML never keeps its stance, which is not true. I suggest you all to counter such allegations,” he said.
Former prime minister Nepal urged poll-opposing parties to take part in the forthcoming CA elections for sake a democratic republic. He repeated his party’s earlier decision on not exceeding seats in the CA elections from 401. He claimed that the UCPN-Maoist is yet to come out of a ‘militancy mindset’.
