KATHMANDU, Dec 11: Chairman of the ruling CPN (Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has asked the government to self-examine and move forward.
Speaking at the 3rd National Convention of the National Association of Rural Municipalities in Nepal held in Kathmandu on Sunday, Chairman Nepal suggested the government move forward by removing the shortcomings without blaming anyone. He made it clear that no one can end the federal democracy if it is progressed with cooperation of all three tiers of government.
The government should review itself and move forward. Chairman Nepal said, “The country cannot move forward by blaming each other. No one can end federal democracy. No one can end federalism. That is clear.”
Chairman Nepal also reminded that all three tiers of government should fulfill their responsibilities to bring transformation in the country.
He also expressed his belief that the people's representatives at the local level will work properly to ensure that the people can use the rights granted by the constitution.
