Responding to a petition filed by one Gajendra Sharma, the apex court had summoned members of the committee on Wednesday. Sharma had filed the petition, arguing that committee members were not qualified enough for the selection process.
A joint bench of Chief Justice Khilraj Regmi and Justice Narayan Shrestha issued the verdict.
NTB had formed a three-member committee about a month to select new CEO for NTB. The committee includes NTB board members Dhurba Narayan Shrestha, Ganesh Simkhada and Nimi Sherpa. The committee had shortlisted 12 applicants for the final selection.
The whole process was withheld till Sunday after the case was filed against the committee.
