KATHMANDU, May 9: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Deepak Khadka has said the recently released white paper has made the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA)’s current condition public.
Speaking to reporters at the parliament building on Friday, Minister Khadka said that the financial status and reality of the NEA have been disclosed through the document. He added that a detailed due diligence audit (DDA) of the NEA’s assets and liabilities will be conducted soon.

In response to concerns raised by lawmakers over NEA's operations, Minister Khadka said Parliament can form a committee for further investigation, if needed. He also assured that the country will not face power cuts anymore, stating, “There will be no more load-shedding in Nepal.”
