No irregularities while awarding contract to Huawei, says Prime Minister

KATHMANDU, Jan 6 : Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said on Sunday denied allegations of involvement of irregularities while awarding the contract to set up 'action room' at the Prime Minister's Office.


Addressing the parliament session, Prime Minister Oli claimed that no irregularities were committed while awarding contract to set up 'action room' at the PMO.

"I would like to make it clear that we have done nothing wrong in this regard. Everything was done through open bidding while awarding contract to set up 'action room' at the Prime Minister's Office," Oli said at the parliament amid controversies surrounding over the government's recent decision to award an agent of Chinese firm Huawei to set up a video conferencing system at the PMO.
