Addressing a meeting of the State Affairs Committee under the legislative parliament, he said the government will not do anything against the spirit of the past agreements reached between the Maoists and other political parties.
"Everything will be done as per the agreements and on the basis of consensus," he said.
Nepal claimed that the reports about government importing lethal weapons were baseless. The committee had invited him to discuss current political issues that include the alleged arms deal, government initiatives on tackling the spread of diarrhea in the mid-western districts and on unnatural price hike. He assured that the government was doing everything possible to improve the situation. Prime Minister Nepal also expressed his commitment to take action against black-marketers.
