KATHMANDU, Jan 17: Nepal Medical College (NMC) won the title of the First Anil Memorial PAHS Cricket Tournament defeating KIST Medical College by 39 runs in the final held in the capital on Sunday. Electing to bat first, NMC posted 135 runs in 19.3 overs in the 20-over match and bundled out KIST for 96 runs in 17.5 overs.
The man-of-the-match declared Jaykanta Sah's quickfire 61 runs from 53 balls helped set the tone for the victory. Suraj Devkota pocketed three wickets for the winning team.

Sanjeev Jha was the most successful bowler for KIST claiming four wickets in his 3.3-over spell. Jaykanta (best batsman), Sandeep KC of KIST (best bowler) and Saugat Devkota of NMC (player of the series) won the individual awards.
The tournament was organized by Patan Academy of Health Sciences in memory of late Anil Kumar Patel, an MBBS student of the fifth batch at the college. National Cricket team vice captain Gyanendra Malla and Dr Srijana Shrestha, the dean of PAHS among others distributed the prizes.
