NMB Group, NIHDFA provide 1,000 PPEs to government

KATHMANDU, April 6: NMB Group and the Nepal-India Human Development Friendship Association (NIHDFA) have together provided 1,000 units of personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Ministry of Health.


The material support was handed over to Minister for Health and Population, Bhanubhakta Dhakal at the Ministry on Sunday.

NMB Group provided 700 units of PPE it had brought from China while the Association handed over 300 units of PPEs manufactured in Nepal.


On the occasion, Minister Dhakal said the material support from the citizens would be crucial in boosting up the morale of the doctors and health workers in the present health crisis in the country owing to the COVID-19 menace.


He said the government has made arrangements for providing allowance, insurance facility and security to doctors, nurses and health workers.


The Health Minister reiterated that the government would not allow a shortage of PPEs to the health workers who are dedicated to protecting the health of the public remaining at the frontline in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
