KATHMANDU, March 9: NIVEA, the world’s No. 1 skin care brand, has announced that it has partnered with Foodmandu, the pioneer online food delivery service and Daraz, one of the largest online shopping stores in Nepal to empower women from across the country to achieve their entrepreneurial potential for the occasion of International Women’s Day.
Deriving from the brand’s global ‘Care Beyond Skin’ program, the partnership focuses on a campaign that aims to celebrate, recognize and support the amazing achievements of women entrepreneurs who own and run restaurants in the valley in Nepal, according to a press release.
Following the 2021 theme of International Women’s Day – ‘Choose to Challenge’, the campaign will provide women entrepreneurs with a platform to share their empowering stories while motivating others to walk on a similar path and break the glass ceiling.
This campaign led by NIVEA, Foodmandu and Daraz seeks to identify, celebrate and increase the visibility of women achievements that can help build awareness and create more opportunities by encouraging more women to take up such challenges. With the help of meaningful narratives and impactful storytelling, the campaign aims to inspire other budding women entrepreneurs to push boundaries.

The narratives and experiences of four women entrepreneurs among many have been presented in an interesting video that will help the viewers understand the lives and challenges faced by women entrepreneurs. The video goes on to explore and get an inside look into the lives of these four women who work in an industry that runs 24/7, 365 days a year. They have all overcome obstacles and worked hard to create successful businesses. The video shares their valuable pieces of advice to encourage other aspiring female entrepreneurs to follow their dreams of starting a business.
The restaurants featured as part of the initiative include Anshu’s Homemade Kitchen, China Town, Pizza Connection and Detox Café. The video aims to highlight women-owned restaurants, to inspire other women to do what they want to in their lifes,and conveys the message that both men and women possess equal capability and calibre. Strategic collaborations like this campaign based on a foundation of shared purpose and appreciation that can impact positive change for women.
