KAPILVASTU, Oct 8: The body of a young boy who had gone to school was found in a pond at Lumbini of Shuddhodhan Rural Municipality-2 on Wednesday afternoon.

Nine-year-old Durgesh Kalwar, son of local resident Ashok Kalwar, had left home on Tuesday to attend Natural Life Children’s Academy. His body was later found floating in the pond. Locals recovered the body and handed it over to the police.
According to police, the body has been sent to Kapilvastu Hospital for postmortem. Locals said the boy had gone to the pond to swim and drowned. His body was found during a search operation.
