Nine artists including Iku and Gajit Bista, who were arrested for gambling, released on bail of Rs 15,000 each

KATHMANDU, Nov 2: A total of nine artists including Suleman Shankar (Iku), Gajit Bista, Gambhir Bista, Shankar Acharya, Chakra Bam, and others who were arrested for gambling, have been released on bail.

After the order of the District Administration Office (DAO), they were released on a bail of Rs 15,000 each on Wednesday evening, Superintendent of Police (SP) Kumodh Dhungle, who is also spokesperson of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, said.

They were arrested on Saturday night by a team of Police Circle, Singha Durbar while they were playing gambling at Gajit Bista’s dance training center in Maitidevi. Bista brothers have been running a dance training center in the house of local Ramesh Nath Pandey.
