NIC Asia wins NIB Inter-bank Futsal

KATHMANDU, Feb 17: NIC Asia Bank has clinched the Nepal Investment Bank (NIB) Inter-bank Futsal Tournament defeating the host 3-2 on penalties at the Samakhusi Futsal on Friday. The winning team, NIC, received an overnight package to Pokhara along with trophy.

The one-day tournament was hosted by NIB on the occasion of its 32nd anniversary with a slogan of ‘Play for fun’.

A total of 16 commercial banks—two teams of NIB, Bank of Kathmandu, Citizens International Bank, Agriculture Development Bank, Global IME Bank, Macchapuchhre Bank, NIC Asia Bank, NMB Bank, Kumari Bank, Nabil Bank, Sunrise Bank, Nepal SBI Bank, Nepal Bank Limited, Nepal Rastra Bank and Mega Bank--took part in the tournament played in league cum knockout format.

The sponsors of the tournament were Jagadamba Steels Pvt Ltd, Integrated Mobility Solutions, Goldstar Shoes, GB Marketing Pvt Ltd, Red Bull, Global Reach and Vayodha Hospital.
