KATHMANDU, Nov 16: NIC ASIA Bank has launched the facility of opening accounts through online portal. Issuing a statement, the bank said that it is the first of its kind product in the Nepali banking industry.

"It is a complete financial solution to Nepali citizens within and beyond the country who wish for self-service options to instantly open their account from their own locations.
The service comes with features of zero minimum balance and generation of account number in single sitting," according to the statement. The bank further said that customers can easily open 'NIC ASIA Online Bachat Khata’ at their convenience by filling up an online application form placed on the bank’s website.
