New search for missing US trekker

KATHMANDU, Aug 12: Family of Aubrey Caroline Sacco, who has gone missing since April, 2010, has decided to launch fresh investigation into her disappearance as they believe she is still alive.



"There are some missing links in the incident. I have found the locals nervous. I believe they know something about my daughter but are not willing to share," Aubrey´s father Paul told a press meet in Kathmandu, according to a press release issued by Trekking Agencies´ Association of Nepal (TAAN). [break]



Sacco last contacted her family after she checked into Langtang National Park on April 20.



"She was last spotted near Lama Hotel on April 30, according to the locals," the release added. The Saccos have announced a reward of Rs 2 million for information on Aubrey´s whereabouts.
