On the occasion, Republica talked with Shinji Tada, Managing Director, Brother International (GULF) FZE on related issues:

You have launched new range of laser printers in the market. Which is your target group?

Globally we are targeting small and medium corporate houses and offices. Since the market of Nepal is comparatively smaller, we are targeting official as well as home users. The newly launched products are affordable and the operating cost is also nominal. We believe it can be beneficial for all purposes.

How are these products different from the products already available in the market?

The first thing is that our printers are faster and, hence, save time. These products are targeted for emerging nations like Nepal. They have been manufactured in such a way that they match Nepal´s voltage and power fluctuating situation. Our printing machines are environment friendly and come with three years warranty.

Where do you see the position of your brand in coming future?

We already hold top ranks in terms of market share in most of the countries where our products are available. We entered Nepal in 2007, whereas other market players were here for almost two decades. Although we are a comparatively new brand in Nepal, we have won confidence of our customers. And with this new range of products, we are hopeful of becoming the market leader within a few years.
