While paying a courtesy visit to Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar on Wednesday, British envoy Morris welcomed the new constitution and said that the new statute has proved to be a milestone in Nepal's history, according to a press statement issued by Speaker's secretariat at Singha Durbar.
He also said that Britain is ready to support Nepal in reconstruction work in the earthquake affected areas, read the statement.
He also informed that the British embassy is all set to celebrate 200 years of establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Britain by organizing various programs next year, according to the statement.
During the meeting, Speaker Magar also thanked Britain for extending assistance during the earthquakes earlier this year. She also said that she will develop strong relation between parliaments of both Nepal and Britain during her tenure.
