New Committee to Search for Royal Property

KATHMANDU: The government has formed a new committee to search for, nationalize and manage the properties of assassinated family members of the late King Birendra.



The new committee headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bam Dev Gautam comprises of Physical Planning and Works Minister Bijaya Gachchhadar, Supplies and Commerce Minister Rajendra Mahato, Health and Population Minister Giriraj Mani Pokharel, Culture and State Restructuring Minister Gopal Kiranti, and Science, Technology and Environment Minister Ganesh Shah.



The government formed the new committee last Friday as the earlier committee headed by erstwhile Home Minister Krishna Sitaula became defunct after the change in the government last August.
