KATHMANDU, July 6: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Thursday slid marginally by 0.06 points to close at 2,049.38 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,049.44 points and gained around seven points in the first six minutes of trading. The market however dropped straight to 2,036.57 points and remained flat for almost two hours trading.
The market dropped to the day’s low at 2,033.89 points. It surged to as high as 2,064.57 points in the last one hour, before it lost around 15 points to close for the day.

In the intraday trading, 127 listed companies lost while 90 companies were recorded as gainers. The sensitive index that measures the performance of the blue chip companies fell 0.58 points.
Out of the 13 trading groups, six were the gainers. Hotels and tourism added 80.50 points in its index. Non-life insurance lost the biggest of 22.88 points.
The daily turnover amount stood at Rs 3.077 billion, marginally up from Rs 3.073 billion from Wednesday. City Hotel Limited witnessed a positive circuit in its transaction.
Among individual companies, Shivam Cements had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 185.64 million. Modi Energy Limited lost the highest percent of its market price, while City Hotel Limited was the topmost gainer.
