KATHMANDU, Sept 14: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) posted a double digit growth of 47.44 points on Wednesday.
The secondary market opened at 1,934.04 points and closed at 1,981.48 points. In the intraday trading, the index hit the highest of 1,984.12 points.

After the Nepse index reached around 1,900 points, the investors are seen attracted to buy stocks in the secondary market. On Tuesday, the market gained 21.30 points in almost after a month of successive decline.
All the 13 trading groups recorded growth in their average share prices, with six of them gaining three-digit points. The single-day turnover also escalated to Rs 1.45 billion from Rs 920 million on the previous day.
Nabil Bank, with a transaction of its shares worth Rs 65.16 million, registered as the highest of the Wednesday turnover. Green Development Bank Ltd was the biggest gainer whereas NIC Asia Flexi Capital Fund was the topmost loser of the day.
