KATHMANDU, July 17: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) increased slightly by 1.93 points on Sunday, the first day of the fiscal year 2022/23.
The secondary market opened at 2,009.46 points and closed at 2,011.39 points. The market plunged to as low as 1994.75 points while it surged to the maximum of 2,018.49 points in the intraday trading.
Nepse hits 2-year high after week's broad surge
Except for banking, trading, manufacturing and processing, life insurance and investment, indices of the rest of the eight trading groups dropped on Sunday trading. The daily turnover amount also stood at mere Rs 1.23 billion.
Among individual companies, Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Limited had a transaction of its shares worth Rs 60.46 million, the largest of all. Radhi Bidyut Company was the top gainer while Prabhu Select Fund lost the highest percent in its share price.
