Nepse gains on third straight day<br/>HBL proposes 31.55pc bonus share

KATHMANDU, Nov 5: Responding to positive political development despite the Maoist protests, Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) gained for the third consecutive day on Thursday. [break]



With the rally of sub-indices of almost all trading groups except for Development group, the bench mark Nepse gained 3.09 points or 0.53 percent to close at 584.64 points on the last day of week´s trading.



Banking -- the key trading group -- gained 5.25 points to close at 564.29 points with share prices of major banks, including Nabil, Siddhartha Bank and NCC Bank, going up during the Thursday´s trading.



Hydropower, Finance and Insurance groups also gained 6.49 points, 1.35 points and 0.15 points to close at 822.37 points, 608.61 and 606.62 points respectively.



However, Development Bank group lost marginally by 1.38 points to close at 636.53 points.





HBL proposes 31.55pc bonus share



KATHMANDU, Nov 5: The meeting of board of directors of Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL) on Tuesday decided to provide 31.5557 percent bonus shares and 12 percent cash dividend to its shareholders from the profit it earned in the last fiscal year.



According to a press release, the decision is subject to approval of coming annual general meeting and Nepal Rastra Bank.





LG holds second dealers´ meet



KATHMANDU, Nov 5: Carrying the international slogan of LG Dealers´ Conference "Partners in Progress", CG Electronics Pvt Ltd, the sole authorized distributor of LG Mobile for Nepal, organized its second dealers conference in Pokhara on Wednesday.



According to a press release, Ramesh Shrestha, GM of LG Mobile, hosted the program to mark the success of LG Mobile in the Nepali market. The program also aimed to appreciate the hard work of the dealers in Pokhara and nearby suburbs and strengthen the bond between the company and dealers as partners.



The regional conference also highlighted the dealers´ importance and expressed gratefulness to the dealers for their support in sales.
