Nepse gains 4.94 points on Thursday

KATHMANDU, April 21: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Thursday increased marginally by 4.94 points to close at 2,325.45 points.

KATHMANDU, April 21: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Thursday increased marginally by 4.94 points to close at 2,325.45 points.


The market that opened at 2,320.51 points went as low as 2,287 points in the first three-hour trading. However, the market bounced back during the last hour trading, finally adding 0.21 percent to the index.

Amid low confidence of investors in the share market that had been going through a bearish trend for the past few weeks, the turnover amount stood at Rs 1.62 billion on Thursday. The transaction volume was Rs 1.45 billion on the previous day.


Eight out of the 13 trading groups posted gains in their average share prices. The index of ‘others’ had the largest increase of 2.05 percent in its share price.


NESDO Sambridha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha had its shares transaction of Rs 103.62 million, the largest of all. Jalpa Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha was the topmost gainer while Ghalemdi Hydro Limited lost the maximum point percent in its shares’ price.
