Nepse gains 13.37 points on Tuesday following a 71 points fall in past two days

KATHMANDU, April 19: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Tuesday gained 13.37 points to close at 2,357.24 points after the market slipped by more than 71 points in the first two trading days of the week.

KATHMANDU, April 19: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Tuesday gained 13.37 points to close at 2,357.24 points after the market slipped by more than 71 points in the first two trading days of the week.


The market that opened at 2,343.87 points went down to as low as 2,314.93 points in the first hour of the commencement of the intraday trading. However, the market escalated to the maximum of 2,372.03 points before sliding down to settle finally at 2,357.24 points.

Despite a rise in overall Nepse, the turnover amount fell to Rs 1.32 billion from Rs 1.53 billion. Since the past few weeks, the daily transaction volume has averaged to below Rs 2 billion due to low confidence of investors towards the market.


The entire 13 trading groups posted gain on Tuesday trading. Index of ‘others’ rose the highest by 1.09 percent.


Nabil Bank had its shares transaction of Rs 63.06 million, the largest of all. NESDO Sambridha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha gained the largest percentage while Dibyashwari Hydropower Company Limited was the topmost loser of the day.
