KATHMANDU, March 2: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Wednesday dropped 63.54 points to close below 2,600 points.
The market that opened at 2,610.58 points continuously fell closing finally at Rs 2,547.04 points in the intraday trading. While the entire 13 trading groups lost in their shares prices on an average, six groups witnessed a fall of three-digit points.
Nepse up for a fifth consecutive week
On Wednesday trading, shares prices of only three companies including Reliance Life Insurance, Civil Bank Limited and Swabhimaan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha increased. Similarly, three other scrips that include NIBL Pragati Fund, ICFC Finance Limited Debenture 2083 and Goodwill Finance Limited Debenture 2083 were the gainers.
A total of 188 companies lost their market value. Himalayan General Insurance Company Limited was the topmost loser.
The total turnover stood at Rs 3.62 billion, down from Rs 3.66 billion on Monday. Nepal Life Insurance Company’s scrip worth Rs 161.89 million was recorded as the largest transaction amount in an individual company.
