Nepse corrects by a decline of 2.76 points

KATHMANDU, August 2: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Tuesday fell slightly by 2.76 points to close at 2,193.48 points.

The secondary market that opened at 2,196.25 points rose to the day’s highest to 2,202.75 points before it fell straight to the lowest of 2,170.52 points. The market recovered 22.96 points in the second half of the trading hours for the day. The daily turnover amount however declined to Rs 3.29 billion from Rs 4.67 billion on the previous day.

Seven out of the 13 trading groups lost the average market value of their shares. Among the gainers, microfinance added 41.77 points to its index.

Shivam Cements witnessed the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 293.22. The Rastra Utthan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was the highest loser while Bindhyabasini Hydropower Development Company was the topmost gainer.
