Nepse closes at 1218.33 points today

KATHMANDU, Oct 10: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index remained almost the same on Wednesday. The share market went up 0.40 points to close at 1218.33 points today.

According to the benchmark index, a total of 856,187 units of shares worth Rs 226,524,647 of 162 various companies were sold today which is Rs 120,000,000 less compared to the transaction of Tuesday. As many as 1,098,000 units of shares worth Rs 343,200,000 had been sold yesterday.

The index of eight different groups went down today despite slight growth in banking and other productive groups.

The index of banking groups jumped to 2.38 points while productive groups jumped up 6.15 points.

Hotel and hydro groups plunged to 6.73 and 5.61 points respectively.

Sanima My Hydro topped the chart in terms of daily turnover of transactions worth Rs 34,230,000 while Machhapuchhre Bank sold its shares worth Rs 16,000,000, according to Nepse.
