KATHMANDU, Aug 28: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and lawmaker of Loksabha, Mahanta Yogi Adityanath said Nepal's leadership and the European Union (EU) have a hand behind the recent violent attack in Nepal.

The recent violence at Kailali in Nepal has been carried out at the behest of the international anti-Hindu element, lawmaker Adityanath blamed.

Tweeting his views on Friday Gorakshapithadhishwar Adityanath claimed that 95% of the Nepali people are in favor of promulgating the new constitution with Hindu State.

He accused the European Union of foiling the Nepali people's campaign for restoring Nepal as a Hindu State by creating division among them.

The founder of Hindu Yuva Bihani, which campaigns for social, cultural and political movement, Adityanath had become the member of Lok Sabha in 1998. He was 26 at that time. Born in Uttarakhanda Adityanath is unmarried.

Few weeks ago he had come to Nepal to lobby for the campaign to restore Nepal as a Hindu state. During the period he had met with top leaders of the major political parties of Nepal including UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Dahal's assurance that he would stand in favor of Hindu State had hit the headlines.
