Nepalis living in UK provide Rs 500,000 to reconstruct quake-damaged school building

PARBAT, Oct 19: Nepali people residing in United Kingdom have rolled up their sleeves to provide monetary help to reconstruct a school in Nepal damaged by the earthquake on April 25, 2015.

PARBAT, Oct 19: Nepali people residing in United Kingdom have rolled up their sleeves to provide monetary help to reconstruct a school in Nepal damaged by the earthquake on April 25, 2015. 


The assistance worth over Rs 500,000 comes as a great help in reconstructing the building of Baljyoti Primary School at remote Shankarpokhari-8 in Parbat, said the school administration.

The amounts, collected through a Nepali organization, the Mind Stone Gurkha Nepalese Community UK, on the initiatives of one Dipakraj Joshi from Kushma, now living in London, was handed over to the school amid a program in the district on Tuesday. 


Also on the occasion, school head-teacher Hari Prasad Tiwari announced to donate Rs 10,000 for the project while the school management committee chairman Krishna Bahadur BK and Chairman of the Parent Teacher Association Juddha Bahadur BK Rs 5,000 each. Established in 2047 BS, the school has 82 students all from the Dalit community. RSS
