The Nepali-language channel to be test broadcasted from December 1 this year plans to begin 24-hour-a-day broadcasting from January 1, 2012.[break]
The TV will be based in Washington DC and will be dedicated to promote Nepali culture and language, according to a press statement.
Although the TV is accessible globally, it will target Nepali communities in USA and Canada initially.
“The channel will explore and publicize Nepal and Nepali culture to the world through a variety of educational, cultural, religious and entertainment programs,” the statement added.
