Nepalis in Hong Kong donate Rs 1.3 million for school building construction

PARBAT, Nov 30: In a gesture of benevolence, Nepali immigrants living in Hong Kong have extended helping hands to construct school buildings in Parbat. They have donated Rs 1.3 million of the same, through Parbat Pun Magar Welfare Fund, Hong Kong.

PARBAT, Nov 30: In a gesture of benevolence, Nepali immigrants living in Hong Kong have extended helping hands to construct school buildings in Parbat. They have donated Rs 1.3 million of the same, through Parbat Pun Magar Welfare Fund, Hong Kong. 



The donation amount was handed amid a programme in Parbat. 



The initiatives aim to help enhance educational equality in the schools, said the fund's Vice Chairperson Hem Bahadur Pun. The donation amount that was collected from among Nepalis living in Hong Kong through a campaign will be used to construct buildings for 24 community schools in Jaljala and Modi rural municipalities, said Pun. 



Established six years ago, the fund also donated Rs 7 million for the treatment of those Nepalis suffering from a kidney ailment, and for the victims of the earthquake of April 2015, he added.  RSS
