Nepali workers robbed in India

NEPALGUNJ, July 7: Over 20 Nepalis who were returning home on leave have been robbed at Nanpara in India on Monday night.



The robbers made away with cash and valuables from the workers, according to a victim Hom Bahadur Thapa. The Nepalis were employed at an iron factory in New Delhi.



A group of 10-12 armed persons barged into the railway carriage in which the workers were travelling and looted the cash and goods, according to another victim Ram Bahadur Thapa.



The workers who reached a police post in Nanpura to lodge a complaint were scolded by the police, they said.
