According to a press release issued by NTB, Nepal participated in IITM to showcase the exact picture of Nepali tourism industry after the recent earthquake in Nepal.
This is Nepal's first participation in IITM.
Red Carpet Tours and Travel, Annapurna Hotel and Fishtail Lodge, Adventure Himalayan Travel and Tours Pvt Ltd and Samrat Tours and Travels participated in the event under the leadership of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).
"Nepal Airlines' direct flight on Kathmandu-Mumbai sector beginning September 4 gave a positive vibe to the travel tour operators in Mumbai," the release added. "The Indian visitors were keenly interested to know about the situation of hotel and traveling in Kathmandu and around. They were mostly interested in the Kailash- Mansarovar trip," the release added.
According to NTB, Miyamoto International's damage assessment report, giving the green light to the most popular trekking areas, will help to justify that Nepal is safe and ready to welcome more Indian tourists in the coming days.
