“Hundreds of thousands of collapsed houses were erected, thousands of schools were rebuilt, thousands of monasteries, temples, churches, stupas were erected, historical monuments were erected and our Dharahara, too, was erected! This is not just a Dharahara; it is a symbol of self-respect of the Nepali people,” said CM Poudel in a statement.

“Looking at the roads, bridges, tunnels, hospitals, airports, factories and agricultural enterprises that are being built, it seems that our steps have indeed moved toward the great goal of achieving the target of ‘prosperous Nepal, happy Nepalis’,” he added.
