Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal in his message on the occasion said the festival will help boost friendship, harmony and cultural unity among the people.
Likewise, former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala, who is recuperating in the hospital, has offered his greetings to the Muslims in the country and abroad.
