Nepali found dead in Saudi Arabia

KHOTANG, April 17: One Nepali migrant worker in Saudi Arabia has been found dead in his bed on Saturday morning. The deceased has been identified as Laxman Rai, 39, a local of Jalpa VDC-8, in Khotang district.

“He played volleyball on Friday afternoon and then went to sleep after having dinner. The next morning he was found dead in bed,” Dan Bahadur Rai, chairman of Jalpa-based Janasewa Samaj, quoted a friend of the deceased as saying.


According to him, his friends tried to wake him up in the morning but found that he was already dead. The cause of the death has not been ascertained yet. Initiatives are being taken to bring his body home, Rai informed.

Laxman worked as a mechanical helper during the initial days of employment in Saudi Arabia and then later worked as a driver. He is survived by his wife, a son, and a daughter.
