All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) bade farewell to the team on Thursday amidst a function held at the ANFA Complex, Lalitpur. The 29-member Nepali team comprises 20 players, a coach, a manager, two assistant coaches, a physio, a media manager and officials.[break]
“We´ll give our best in Jordan. I have no doubt, the boys will put in their 150 percent effort on the ground,” said national team coach Graham Roberts during the farewell ceremony.
Roberts gave his assurance that the team won´t come back with poor result from Jordan. “We´ll return from Jordan with good result and we´ll beat them here next week,” claimed the 53-year-old Briton.
ANFA President Ganesh Thapa admitted that the preparation and training of the national team could not go properly because of various technical reasons but said that he is expecting a surprise result against Jordan. “ANFA has not been negligent in the national team´s preparation but we had some limitations.

However, our players are physically and mentally fit after the completion of the ´A´ division league to take on mighty Jordan,” said Thapa. “Jordan is stronger than us and preparing well. However, I´m hopeful that our players will continue their league form and the confidence of our coach will help the team to pull off a stunning result against Jordan.”
Minister for Youth and Sports Hit Bahadur Tamang said the victories against East Timor in the first round of the qualifiers had given a message that Nepal also plays for win.
National Sports Council Member Secretary Yuvaraj Lama said the results against East Timor gave a message of unity within the Nepali people.
