KATHMANDU, March 29: Doctors and health workers of the Maharajgunj University Teaching Hospital have staged a demonstration after Israel intensified its attacks on hospitals in Palestine.


Protesting outside the Israeli embassy in Kathmandu, they called for an immediate cessation of the ongoing war in Gaza and an end to the assault on hospitals.

Carrying placards with messages such as ‘Stop the conflict between Israel and Palestine’, ‘Free Palestine’, ‘Bombing Ambulances Is Not Self-Defense’, ‘Stop the Genocide’, and ‘Save Gaza’s Hospitals’, the Nepali medical community voiced their solidarity with the people of Palestine.


Nepali doctors and health workers have demanded an immediate ceasefire as more than 500 health workers have been killed in the attack that started on October 7.
