KATHMANDU, Jan 28: The Nepali Army successfully defused 65 explosives recently discovered near a helipad of the district police office Sankhuwasabha Range.

The Directorate of Military Public Relations and Information reported that these explosives were safely deactivated on January 25.

The army suspects that these explosives, found in an abandoned state, might date back to the Maoist conflict era.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Ghanshyam Shrestha, the Sankhwasabha District Police Chief, stated that the explosives were discovered during a clean-up operation. The Nepali Army was then called in to safely deactivate.
