KATHMANDU, June23: Nepalaya English Public School and Siddhi Mangal Higher Secondary School made winning start to the girls' event of Coca-Cola Cup Inter-school Football Tournament that kicked off at Sano Gaucharan, Kathmandu on Wednesday.
Nepalaya, Siddhi Mangal off to winning starts
Nepalaya overcame Chantal Mauduit Academy 4-0 riding on a hat-trick of Gita Thapa Magar. Sunita Maya Ghising was also on scoresheet for the winning team. Similarly, Siddhi Mangal Higher Secondary School overcame Modern Indian School 3-1 in tie-breaker following 1-1 draw in the regulation time.
In the third match, three goals from Kalpasa Magar inspired Oracle Ray Academy to a thumping 5-1 win over Valley Public Higher Secondary School. The last match of the day saw St Xavier's School's 6-0 thumping of Apple International Academy. Sambrika Chhetri alone netted four goals.
