At a press conference held at the UCPN (Maoist) Central Office at Paris Danda, party's Spokesperson Dinanath Sharma reminded that the Madhesi people are Nepali people and termed India's unnecessary concern as 'meaningless'.
He added that the party leadership was in constant contact with the Madhes-centric leaders while stating they were positive on seeking a resolution through dialogue and negotiations.
Spokesperson Sharma further slammed the Indian government of creating a humanitarian crisis by obstructing supplies which Nepal had been purchasing and not receiving as alms. He accused the India government of not even adhering to simple rules of war by obstructing the supply of medicine, fuel and reading materials.
"There are people donating blood for Red Cross, but India has blocked the pouch used in collecting the blood," Sharma charged.
Stressing on the increasing black market trading due to the undeclared blockade, Sharma underlined the sufferings of the general public and further called on the government to control black marketing.
On a different note, Sharma branded the step taken by Baburam Bhattarai to form a new force as deviating from leftist movement and added, "Baburam has made a mistake in splitting the UCPN (Maoist). The ideology and philosophy is not clear on basis of which he will form the new force." RSS
