Cooperation of all parties needed to resolve the squatter problem: Minister Chaudhary

KATHMANDU, Dec 15: Urban Development Minister Metmani Chaudhary has said that the cooperation of all parties is necessary to resolve the problem of landless squatters in the Kathmandu Valley.

KATHMANDU, Dec 15: Urban Development Minister Metmani Chaudhary has said that the cooperation of all parties is necessary to resolve the problem of landless squatters in the Kathmandu Valley.


Minister Chaudhary mentioned that the management of garbage that adversely affects the beauty of Kathmandu city and the management of squatters’ settlements on the banks of the rivers are challenging tasks. He made it clear that the cooperation of all parties was necessary for solutions to these problems.

Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu on Thursday on the occasion of the 28th Metropolis Day, Minister Chaudhary also reminded that there should be no delay in carrying out concrete works to develop the necessary infrastructure to make Kathmandu an orderly, clean and beautiful city.


Mentioning that the role played by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City is important in making the city a livable, pollution-free place and fulfilling the basic needs of the metropolitans, Minister Chaudhary expressed his commitment that the Government of Nepal will support this work as much as possible.
