KATHMANDU, July 3: Nepal University Bill, 2079 BS has been passed by the National Assembly.
In the National Assembly meeting held on Monday, Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Ashok Kumar Rai's motion to pass the bill was passed by a majority.

In the meeting, MPs suggested the government open more universities only on the basis of need and justification.
The next meeting of the National Assembly has been called to be held on Tuesday, July 4 (tomorrow) at 1:00 PM.
In the meeting held today (Monday), the discussion on the allocation of the budget for the Ministry of Forests and Environment, the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens, the Ministry of Urban Development, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply and the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the next fiscal year ended.
