KATHMANDU, Feb 24: Nepal is playing against Palestine in the final match of the group stage of the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) Women's Championship 2024 in Saudi Arabia.
As both teams have already reached the semi-finals from Group B, today's match will decide the group winner. The match will start at 10:45 PM Nepali time at King Abdullah Sports City Ground in Jeddah.
Nepal to face Syria in WAFF Women's Championship 2024
Nepal, which is playing this tournament for the first time, defeated Syria 4-1 in the first match and Iraq 5-0 in the second match. On the other hand, Palestine defeated Iraq 3-0 in the first match and Syria 1-0 in the second match.
If they win the group by defeating Palestine, Nepal will have to play against Lebanon in the semi-finals. If they lose to Palestine and become group runners-up, they will have to face Jordan, the winner of Group A.
Former champion Jordan won all three matches in Group A and reached the semi-finals. After winning two games, Lebanon became the runner-up of Group A and reached the semi-finals.
