Nepal to evacuate its citizens working in UN agencies in Afghanistan

KATHMANDU, April 16: Amid coronavirus outbreak, the government has decided to evacuate its citizens working for UN agencies in Afghanistan, officials said.

KATHMANDU, April 16: Amid coronavirus outbreak, the government has decided to evacuate its citizens working for UN agencies in Afghanistan, officials said.


A meeting of the high-level coordination committee to prevent and contain novel coronavirus decided to this effect on Wednesday.

Spokesperson of the committee Narayan Prasad Bidari told media that the decision was made at the request of the United Nations.


So far, Afghanistan has recorded over 700 hundred cases of coronavirus and 25 deaths.
