KATHMANDU, August 16: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has maintained that his government is working seriously to rescue Nepali nationals in Afghanistan.
As the Taliban has once again gained control in Afghanistan, most countries in the world are rescuing its officials and citizens. Taking to the twitter account on Monday, Prime Minister Deuba said that the government will cautiously and seriously fulfill its responsibility to rescue Nepali nationals in Afghanistan.

“I have already directed our officials to remain updated about the situation of Nepali nationals there and arrange rescue missions accordingly,” Deuba further wrote.
Meanwhile, the government has asked all Nepali nationals currently living in Afghanistan to come to the contact of the government.
Those living in Afghanistan and wanting to return home can now register their name and provide other relevant details in the official website of the Department of Consular.
The MoFA has publicized various ways to contact them including viber and WhatsApp for the rescue of Nepali nationals. Those seeking rescue flights can contact 977-9749326458 (Department of Consular Service) and 977-9749326459(Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
