Nepal Telecom's total revenue decreases by nearly 6 percent in first quarter of current FY

KATHMANDU, Nov 15: Nepal Telecom's total revenue for the first quarter of the current Fiscal Year (FY) 2024/25 has decreased by nearly 6 percent.


While releasing the financial report for the first quarter of the current FY. Nepal Telecom stated that the total revenue stood at Rs 10.6 billion. The amount is Rs 585.7 million, or 5.49 percent, less compared to the total revenue of Rs 10.65 billion for the same quarter of the previous FY.

Similarly, Telecom reported that the total operating income for the fiscal year stood at Rs 8.68 billion. This amount is an increase of Rs 95.12 million, or 1.11 percent, compared to the total operating income of Rs 8.59 billion during the same period of the previous fiscal year.


According to the financial report published by the Telecom, the net profit for the first quarter of the current fiscal year is Rs 1.74 billion. This amount represents a decrease of Rs 287.84 million, or 14.20 percent, compared to the net profit of Rs 2.27 billion during the same period of the previous fiscal year.


The report also states that the profit before tax for the current fiscal year is Rs 3.56 billion. This amount is an increase of Rs 214.35 million, or 6.42 percent, compared to the profit before tax of Rs 3.34 billion during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
