KATHMANDU, Dec 9: Nepal recorded 1,056 new cases, 1,483 recoveries and 14 deaths linked with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past one day.
Altogether 1,056 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in the past 24 hours while conducting 6,286 PCR tests at various labs across the country, according to Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population.
The ministry stated that 244,433 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Nepal as of Monday.
The country has now a total of 12,245 active cases of the coronavirus. As many as 230,537 people who earlier tested positive for the virus have been recovered as of today.
Altogether, 1,651 people, including 14 in the past one day, have succumbed to COVID-19 across Nepal so far, the spokesperson said at a daily media briefing.
